Open Tryouts will be hosted on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, DL Ligon at Midwestern State University at 5:00 p.m. Registration and warm-up will begin at 4:15 p.m.
$25.00 Open Tryout Fee will be collected during registration/ warm-up via cash or check. You may also pay online at our MSU Cheer Store. Please have exact change if you will be paying in cash.
At Open Tryouts, you will be required to perform your highest standing & running tumbling pass, cheer jumps, MSU Texas Fight Song(ladies only, see link below), and stunts. You will be able to form stunt groups during preregistration/warm ups.

Preferred Team Skills: Tumbling requirements(Standing tuck/handspring tuck. Running tuck/layout & full), Cheer/Dance/Gymnastics experience, above level or level jumps, and stunt experience (group, two-man, & partner stunts for males).
What to Wear: Tryout attire will be a white t-shirt, tank, or sports bra with black shorts or spandex. Ladies, please wear a white bow with a low ponytail.
*If you do not have the skills listed above please try out anyway—we look for potential as well!*
Note: If you make the team you will be required to stay for our first set of cheer practices. Please see the summer calendar for reference. Housing options will be given if you make the team.
