MUN Application

MSU Model UN Application

Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations in which each university team takes on the role of an assigned country’s delegation to the United Nations. The MSU team will represent one country and will compete against other universities. The goal of Model UN is to serve as strong representatives of the assigned country and work as a team to advance that country’s agenda in each UN committee. Each team member will be assigned to a UN committee and expected to perform the role of the assigned-country’s delegate on issues such as nuclear non-proliferation, global health, refugee policy, or global development.

Model UN is a year-long endeavor, culminating in the Model UN competition. MSU Model UN team members meet weekly throughout the fall and spring semesters to prepare for the spring semester competition. Additional meetings on evening and/or weekends may be required from time to time.
